LIMITATIONS OF IDENTIFICATION AND VERIFICATION OF PROVIDERS
Telephone-based data collection may be affected by bias of the individual respondent at any provider office or facility. Where to Care works to mitigate this risk by conducting at least two calls to each provider (Basic Identification of Services, “Secret Shopper”). Services available at any time may vary based on availability of medications, supplies, or staffing. Where to Care highly recommends that individuals call a provider or facility before seeking care or services to ascertain the current availability of services and trained health professionals. Where to Care aims to update information about each verified provider or facility at least twice each year.
DISCLAIMER ON ACCURACY OF REPORTED GPS LOCATIONS
Where to Care works to ensure that the GPS locations of verified providers is accurate. However, Where to Care cannot guarantee the accuracy of the location of any provider as rendered on a Where to Care map.
Whenever possible, public facility locations are verified by trained Where to Care partners. Otherwise, GPS locations are reported by the World Health Organization (WHO) and/or individual government agencies including but not limited to the Ministries of Health or Social Development. Private and Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) providers’ locations are compiled through self-reporting, Google Maps, or government regulatory agency databases.
PUBLIC SUBMISSION OF PROVIDERS AND FACILITIES
Members of the public may submit providers and/or facilities for inclusion on the Where to Care map of safe and legitimate providers of Sexual and Reproductive Health, Comprehensive Family Planning, and Gender-Based Violence services.
The public may submit a suggestion via the Where to Care web site or via the mobile map generated via an SMS-based link to it.
